Congressman Jim Langevin for U.S. House of Representatives
Since 2001 Congressman Langevin has been fully supportive of common-sense gun safety legislation while representing Rhode Islanders in Washington, D.C. In 2016, after learning from the Brady Center that gun dealers “lost” at 16 firearms everyday, he proposed legislation to crack down on these deadbeat gun dealers, who have sold a large percentage of guns traced to crime. He also supports:
- Closing loopholes for background checks
- Strengthening our national background check system
- Ban bump stocks and assault weapons
In addition to these sensible reforms, we know we can count on Congressman Langevin to continue the fight for traditional Democratic values everyday.
