Parents received a notice from the Barrington Superintendant of Schools as well as the Principal of Barrington High School regarding a threat written on the wall of one of the girls’ bathrooms: “I am shooting up the school on 12/21/21 with my dads pistol.”
Police are investigating the incident, which was reported by a student on Monday, December 13, 2021. The Barrington Police Department will provide an additional presence at BHS until the Winter Recess.

- Two Counts of Vandalism – Obstruction of Lawful Pursuits (R.I.G.L. §11-44-1)
- One Count of Disturbance of Public Assemblies Generally (R.I.G.L. §11-11-1)
