A Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence and Promote Peace in Rhode Island
Taking On Mass Shootings and Non-Episodic Violence
This is a coordinated project that will develop a statewide youth committee as a decision making body to recommend actions to address non-episodic gun violence and mass shootings in Rhode Island.
This intersectional coalition of youth based in RI who are committed to preventing violence and promoting peace and common sense gun safety reform includes our partner organizations:

Committed to Making Real Changes
YES! RI advocates for:
- An increase in guidance counselors and social workers in schools
- Shared tools around public speaking, policy development and civic engagement
- Sensible, evidence-backed gun safety measures, including:
- Prohibiting all concealed carry permit holders from carrying their weapon on school grounds (excepting police and resource officers)
- Banning high-capacity magazines
- Banning assault weapons
